Youth Foundation supporters helped to raise $1.45 million during the drive, which lasted throughout the months of November and December. Online and in-store donations really added up, giving the Foundation much-needed funds for the coming year. The top fundraising states, cities and regions include Southern Los Angeles, East Coast Florida, Minnesota, Western New York, Pittsburgh, Dallas/West Texas, Detroit, Dallas/Oklahoma, West Coast Florida and Columbus. Great job!

What does all of this money go towards? All the proceeds from the drive will benefit the many active youth organizations that the Foundation supports through grants and sponsorships, in addition to initiatives of the Special Olympics. The generous donations that the Foundation received will be put to good use this year, helping thousands of kids to get more active and achieve their dreams!

This year, the annual Foundation holiday drive gets a boost from the partnership of the Finish Line Youth Foundation and the Special Olympics. All proceeds from the drive will benefit the many active youth organizations that the Foundation supports through grants and sponsorships, as well as the many initiatives of the Special Olympics.

Donating to the drive is as easy as clicking a button or giving at one of the more than 600 Finish Line stores across the country. Online at Finishline.com, you can add your donation easily to your purchase at check-out, or you can visit the Finish Line Youth Foundation page and make a quick donation without a purchase. No matter which way you choose, it only takes just a moment to do some good this holiday season.

Regardless of whether a player was a “King Pin” or threw more gutters than strikes, a fun time was had by all. This first of its kind event raised money through donations and sponsorships. Teams of six were formed that collected money from generous donations online for their day of fun and the many wonderful organizations it benefited. Teams consisted of kids from all over the area, Finish Line employees, friends and family, and business partners. Many others helped the cause by donating to these teams or by volunteering at the afternoon celebration. Others sponsored a lane to allow local underprivileged or disabled children to bowl to their hearts’ content at the event for free. Overall, 25 teams spent the day bowling at Fat Cats All Out Fun in Westminster, Colo.

Where does all of the money go? Proceeds from the Bowl for Kids Colorado event help to fund grants for nonprofit organizations that provide community-based youth athletic programs and camps for disadvantaged and special needs children all over the country that the Foundation supports. Every year, the Foundation awards more than 100 grants to these great organizations. The Foundation and Finish Line also have a multi-year partnership with Special Olympics.

As the morning sun rose at the golf outing, hundreds gathered to watch Rice, a retired NFL wide receiver and Jackson, a dual professional NFL and Major League Baseball player, get the festivities started. The day included many inspiring, humorous and downright fun moments as the group hit the links to raise money for the Foundation and its many initiatives.

The Finish Line Youth Foundation supports a number of qualified non-profit organizations that offer community-based access to athletics for kids under the age of 18, including a number of camps that give kids the chance to get out there and be active, as well as the Special Olympics. Finish Line and the Foundation have a multi-year partnership with Special Olympics and continue to support their efforts in supplying active services to kids who are disabled. The Foundation raises money through fun annual events like the golf outing, as well as through donations throughout the entire year.
