The adidas Crazy 97s are back for the first time since they initially released nearly twenty years ago. Instead of the standard Lakers colors and #8 on the ankle, this colorway was designed for former Philadelphia 76er and current New Orleans Pelican, Jrue Holiday. Holiday made his first NBA All Star team in 2013, earning himself this PE colorway of the Crazy 97, and was poised to be in the voting conversation again this year until an injury prematurely ended his season.
Jrue’s #11 highlights the side of the Crazy 97s in a 3D logo. The rest of the upper takes on a very patriotic color scheme with highlights of red and light blue while sitting atop one of the greatest technologies the sneaker game has ever seen. Feet You Wear technology made adidas Basketball one of the most trusted in the game in the late ’90s and with the same design elements returning, this blast from the past still performs up to modern day standards. Don’t take our word for it, though. Check out Nightwing’s review below.
