Landing NBA stars was the first step for Under Armour’s leap into the basketball arena, and their latest stride has been the Under Armour Micro G Anatomix Spine.
Fresh off of an NCAA Tournament Championship, Under Armour went after Kemba Walker to add to their roster alongside other young NBA stars. A necessity for a brand jumping into the game looking to make a splash.
The next order of business was to build up their line of kicks for said athletes to wear. UA hit the court in a fast break, releasing model after model with the technology in the sneakers to back it up, and they’re moving forward with the buzz they’ve been able to generate.
The first hardwood kick to appear ahead of the season is the Under Armour Micro G Anatomix Spawn. Eschewing conventional design in favor of the daring, the Anatomix Spawn is, aesthetically, like no other shoe to come before it.
- The lines of the upper are completely organic and coordinate with the foot’s anatomic design.
- In addition to the newly unorthodox panels of the upper, the Spawn is interwoven with flexgear that not only ensures improved overall fit, but also keeps the load as light as possible while allowing for optimum air flow.
- The design of the outsole entails strategically placed pods, embedded herringbone patterns for traction improvement, and mirroring natural strike zones, putting the Anatomix Spawn up there with the best of them.
Given Under Armour’s track record, they are headed in the right direction as they storm the basketball court. Are you?
