The Air Jordan 13 is unquestionably one of the most popular Jordan models of all time, and people just seemed to fall in love with the unique panther inspired design. From the paw print inspired outsole, to the unique hologram resembling a black panther’s eye, the Air Jordan 13 featured one of the most unique design schemes of any Air Jordan model to date. On March 16th, the Air Jordan 13 Retro White/True Red-Black will be making a return for the first time since they were released in 2008 with the “Collezione” pack.
“He Got Game”
People first fell in love with this model when Michael Jordan wore them for the Bulls in their ’97-’98 season, but perhaps the shoe fell into most of its fame from the 1998 movie He Got Game. James Shuttlesworth, played by Denzel Washington, wore the incredibly eye-catching shoes in many scenes during the movie, which had a huge impact on the shoe itself. The movie quickly became a classic for basketball fans as did the shoes, and that’s when many people dubbed the Air Jordan 13 White/True Red-Black the “He Got Game’s”.
The Air Jordan 13 “He Got Game’s” is the last of the original colorways of the AJ 13 to receive the retro treatment, as we have seen recent releases of the “Playoffs”, “Breds”, “Flints”, as well as the White/Black-True Red’s. There is no telling if Jordan Brand has anything planned in the future for this retro model, and it may be a long time before we see any other colorways of the Air Jordan 13 release. So don’t forget to mark March 16th on the calendar, and head on over toFinishLine.com to cop your pair.
