Position Breakdown: Power Forward

0 230

Big men aren’t always the ones on the court rocking the best kicks, but there are a few players that stand out among the rest and continue to don amazing shoes, game in and game out. This week, we’re taking a look at the power forward position and checking out some of the best power forwards in basketball and the shoes they choose to go with on a nightly basis.

5. Blake Griffin – Jordan Aero Flight

Blake Griffin is the new standard for the athlete that plays above the rim, so him taking to the court in the Jordan Aero Flight makes perfect sense as he rises above the competition for his aerial acrobatics.

4. Serge Ibaka – adidas adiZero Ghost 2

Serge Ibaka is easily one of the best defenders in the NBA, so it’s no surprise that he takes to the court in the adiZero Ghost 2 known for being a lightweight and responsive model, keeping Ibaka quick on his feet.

3. Pau Gasol – Nike Hyperdunk

For the past couple of years, Gasol has been spotted in the latest Hyperdunk, and this season is no exception. Nike has consistently put out a high-performing sneaker in the Hyperdunk, giving Gasol no reason to choose otherwise.

2. Paul Millsap – Nike LeBron X

At 6’8″, 260lbs, Paul Millsap isn’t built too differently from LeBron James, so it makes sense that a player of his size would wear the LeBron X on the court.

1. Chris Bosh – Nike Air Max Hyperposite

Defending NBA Champion, Chris Bosh chooses simply the best shoe for his on-court exploits. For a player of his caliber that needs to compete at a high level on a consistent basis, the Air Max Hyperposite is the only one worthy of keeping up and delivering.
