If we told you that there was a type of training that increases muscle mass, develops bone strength, controls your weight, reduces your risk of injury, boost your stamina, and sharpens your focus, you would think we were lying right? If so, you are wrong, because strength training can help you achieve all of this.

Strength training benefits your body in all of the aforementioned ways, and can require little to no equipment to participate in various strength training exercises. For instance, push-ups, pull-ups, crunches, and leg squats require no equipment, because you use your body to resist gravity to strengthen your muscles and bones. Good news is you can do these exercises literally just about anywhere.

If you require a little more resistance to build up those muscles even faster, there are various options to help you do so. Resistance tubing are great tools to help you strength train, and consist of lightweight tubing that provides resistance when stretched. They are also relatively inexpensive and highly portable, making them a great option for strength training that you can also use just about anywhere.

Free weights including barbells and dumbbells as well weight machines are also great options for strength training if you have access to a gym. Exercises with these types of equipment can provide even more resistance than other types of strength training exercises, but they also are a little more dangerous and injury prone. So if you participate in these types of exercises, make sure you consult with a professional beforehand to ensure that you are doing the exercises correctly, and you shouldn’t have to worry about injuries.
