With Black History Month being here, Jordan Brand showed up right on time with their Black History Month-themed sneakers. Chinese New Year is about to roll around, and Jordan is back again for the festivities as expected.
This time around, instead of releasing three separate models, the brand behind Jumpman is putting together a special edition pack commemorating the “Year of the Snake”, befittingly named “The Year of the Snake Pack.”
The pack includes the timeless Air Jordan I High coupled with Carmelo Anthony’s newest signature sneaker, the Melo M9. Following suit with the Black History Month collection, Jordan Brand outdoes itself with an amalgam of all the colors of the spectrum on both models, accented with splashes of iridescence. The brand has never been known to hold back on going all out and with a color palette of blacken blue, bright citrus, hyper red, raspberry red, deep royal blue and volt, that’s an understatement.
The color selection wasn’t just on a whim, though. Drawing inspiration from a snake’s ability to detect the body temperature of its prey as well as environmental changes, it’s good to know that Jordan Brand had some rhyme and reason to their decision-making process.
With Chinese New Year around the corner, this pack has already been released, so check them out, and grab them while you still have a chance, because Chinese New Year only comes around once annually, but this pack is once in a lifetime.
