The Mizuno Wave Prophecy quickly became a go-to choice for many serious runners, the shoe being one of the highest performing runners on the market. Anyone who has ran in this shoe has no regrets, just read the customer reviews for the product. Now Mizuno gives runners something else to look forward to, the Mizuno Wave Prophecy 2. An improvement of the predecessor, this shoe is sure to win over the hearts of many runners.
Mizuno had one serious task on their hands; improving a running shoe that already seems to be perfect. The new model features the same Full-length Infinity Wave Plate as the previous one, a major reason why the first Prophecy was such a huge success. It also has the same AP+ midsole and SmoothRide technology to ensure that the cushioning and support are on par. The major difference in the two models comes in the weight. The Mizuno Wave Prophecy weighed in at 12.9 ounces, where the Mizuno Wave Prophecy 2 comes in at 12.3 ounces. Mizuno achieved the weight loss by using recycled PET synthetic for the mesh, which also makes the newer model more breathable as well as ecofriendly.
Mizuno definitely got it right on this model. The Mizuno Wave Prophecy was already perfect in terms of cushioning, stability, and support, and they didn’t take any of that away the second time around. They did however make the Mizuno Wave Prophecy 2 lighter with increased breathability, ensuring that this model will be the highest performance runner to date.
